Shipping Costs

Shipping Charges

Where multiple items are ordered the charge is calculated based on the combined weight/volumetric weight of the items purchased. The total shipping charge is clearly stated at checkout prior to a proceeding to payment..

Due to the complex nature of parcel delivery and the multiple that tiers Parcel Carriers now have, Ollyskins (KAT Europe Ltd) reserve the right to charge extra shipping if it is found that the quoted price is totally inappropriate to the destination. If this is the case, we will advise you before proceeding with your order.

UK Mainland Delivery

We aim to ship all of our orders within 3 days of receipt (excluding weekends). Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will be shipped within the next 2 working days. An email will be sent when your order is processed for dispatch.

You will be notified as soon as possible when we’re unable to fulfill all items ordered immediately, and what the expected delay will be. ‘Back-order’ means we do not currently have stock of the item but it is expected to be in stock soon.

Larger items are sent by APC, TNT or another reputable courier as appropriate and we aim to have orders dispatched within 3 days of ordering.

If you are not in when they attempt delivery they will leave a card to arrange the delivery for another day. Alternatively, you can arrange to collect this from your local depot. They will make three attempts before returning the parcel to us. If this is the case we will have to charge you for a re-delivery.

Delivery times stated are not unfortunately guaranteed – we are human and things do sometimes go wrong but we certainly strive to meet it and regularly exceed our 90% target.

Offshore/Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland

Our website cannot unfortunately distinguish when a UK postcode is located in Northern Ireland, in the Scottish Highlands or one of the offshore/Channel islands. Postage by Royal Mail to these areas is unaffected but Ollyskins (KAT Europe Ltd) reserve the right to request payment of further carriage charges for large items where we are charged a surcharge by our suppliers to these areas. We will inform you if this applies to your order.

If this is the case, we will advise you before proceeding with your order.

Please contact us if looking for multiple items as we can arrange a specific freight cost that our website cannot automatically calculate.

Shipping to the United States

Shipping to America should be easy and hassle free but in order to meet customs requirements you need to be aware of certain regulations that apply to specific products.

The main document required by customs is a commercial invoice, which contains the true value of the goods and is used in the assessment of the import duties and taxes. A commercial invoice must be completed in English and should include:

a complete description
commodity harmonized code (HS)
the reason for exporting
any part or serial number and the country of manufacture.

However, depending on what you’re shipping to the USA, you might need to provide additional information. Some goods require specific permissions or signed statements. Delays at customs are often due to missing documents or incomplete information so it is important that you are aware of any additional requirements.

To help you get it right first time we have put together guidance on the requirements for different products, helping you avoid delays at customs and get your shipments to where they need to be. Read more on the TNT Website.
