Anti-Slavery & Bribery Policy

KAT Europe Ltd take our responsibilities to our employees, people working within our production line/supply chain and our customers seriously. We ensure that all employees are made aware of this policy and their obligation to comply. We review this policy regularly and provide additional information and/or training on any changes made.

This Anti-Slavery Policy should take the same responsibilities as our Modern Slavery Policy and should follow the correct procedures to implement and identify the ways to prevent anything from happening.

If there was a cause of concern it should be reposted immediately and the appropriate actions should be taken. KAT Europe are committed to preventing any form of slavery within the business and follow the guidelines seriously.

This policy is in place to set out the responsibilities for the business and the employees regarding observing and upholding our zero-tolerance for bribery and corruption. It also recognises these issues and what the responsibilities are.

KAT Europe is committed to running the business in an ethical and honest manner. By doing so it is fully committed to implementing and enforcing rules and systems to prevent any cases of bribery and slavery. This business is committed to acting professional and fairly throughout any terms of business or forming relationships with customers, wherever we are operating.

KAT Europe always follow all laws relating to anti-bribery and corruption in which we operate. This follows the Bribery Act 2010. We recognised that any forms of bribery and corruption are punishable by up to ten years on imprisonment and fine. With all information regarding these laws in mind we are committed to preventing any of these cases within the business and will take these matters and responsibilities seriously.

This policy is to be abided by all employees or any other people associated with us. This is not subject to location; it applies to any where that we work with at any level. Bribery is seen in many ways and it refers to the act of offering or giving/accepting something that can influence or add value to a decision.

Gifts and hospitality

KAT Europe accepts appropriate and normal gestures of goodwill and hospitality, as long as these gestures meet the below requirements:

  • It is not made with any intention of influencing someone’s decision or to obtain any kind of reward or value towards the business.
  • It is not made with the proposal that a return favour is expected.
  • It is given under the name of the company not an individual
  • It does not include any value such as cash or any equivalent such as voucher or gift receipt.
  • It is under appropriate circumstances such as around Christmas time or as a small thank you to a company.
  • It is not given to one individual with the intention of influencing them in any way

When upon receiving a gift, it should not be refused if it was to cause offence to any religion/culture. The gift may be accepted as long as it is disclosed to a manager and it accepted as the company.

If there was to be any intention that the gift was being given/received in an inappropriate manner and does not follow our guidelines, then it is to be reported immediately.

Political Contributions

KAT Europe do not make donations, in any form of gesture or value, to support any political candidates or parties. This can be perceived as an attempt to gain any form of business value and does not follow our policy.

Charitable Donations

We accept and encourage the act of donation to a charity and if and when this happens we agree to disclose any contributions made. The time where this is not appropriate and would not follow this policy is if it were to conceal any acts of bribery.

If there was any suspicion that there are any forms of bribery or corrupt activities occurring within the workplace or through the organisation it should be disclosed from immediately raising a concern. Any concerns should be discussed with the manager and the correct procedures should follow.

The correct training and guidelines are in place and all employees should follow these to ensure the correct procedures are being followed. We follow the policy which enables us to recognise what is appropriate and what is not.
