Are the boots a good sizing?

We use boots from various manufacturers. As a rule, the shoe size you wear will be the same as the boot size you need to buy. However, you may choose to wear boot liners or know that you always buy a size up in wellington boots so please choose accordingly.

Branding your Ollyskins Garments

PVC fabrics can be branded with your company logo providing care is taken in this process. We suggest you use a low heat setting on your heat press (usually start around 140 degrees) and a short time of about 6-8 seconds until you have established confidence in the procedure. It is also advisable to use a piece of fabric with a cut-out for your logo to ensure that the heat press does not leave marks around the logo. Ensure you always use a piece of transfer paper to avoid the heat press having direct contact with the fabric. We recommend a transfer specifically for waterproof fabrics that has a backing paper that is easily removed.

Can I get a Bespoke Design for my garment?

Subject to quantities, individual designs or Bespoke Chest Waders can be created according the customers requirements. These can include variations such as colours, reflective tapes, footwear , linings, fabrics and finishing trims. The Ollyskins brand is retained on all Bespoke garments although we can also incorporate your brand into the labelling if required.

Do Ollyskins offer a Warranty against a leaking garment?

Returns on Ollyskins garments and waders for leakage are virtually non-existent due to the advanced seam welding technology we use. For further information, please contact us on or return your product to our shipping address for a report.

Do you offer a choice of Wader Height Fits?

The current Ollyskins Wader collection offers just one fit – Regular – and the size chart can be found in the footer area of the website. We are able to produce shorter versions for you and these are usually delivered on a lead time of approximately 4-6weeks.

EN ISO 20471 Hi-Vizibility Certification

We're often asked whether our 2640 Hi-Vizibility Waders conform to the European Norm EN ISO 20471. Whilst the design of this garment is similar to a Hi-Vizibility garment, the product is not sold as a certified garment to EN 471 or EN ISO20471. This information is stated on our product page and further information can be found on the Questions and Answers page on our website and within our Terms and Conditions. Workers considering these waders for Trackside or Off Track use should discuss the technical specification with their health and safety managers. For further details, please contact our sales department and we will be glad to advise or update you with our current specification developments.

How can I purchase Ollyskins products?

Protection against Oil and Grease

PVC fabrics offer a natural resistance against oil and grease due to the very nature of the fabric. We also coat some fabrics in the range with an extra laminate to increase this protection for particuarly aggressive work environments to increase the longevity of the fabric. If you have specific oils and greases we suggest you trial a garment in this environment to see how it performs. Please note that the fabrics are not chemical resistant unless the care label states this and the garments has been designed for this use. If you need further technical information, and need some documentation, please do not hesitate to contact the Ollyskins sales department.

REACH Approved Fabrics

REACH aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. This is done by the four processes of REACH, namely the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. REACH also aims to enhance innovation and competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. Taken from EUROPE.EU Further details at HSE.GOV Fabrics in the Ollyskins range are REACH certified where applicable.

Use of Phthalates in PVC Fabrics

Phthalates have been thoroughly studied and reviewed by a number of government scientific agencies and regulatory bodies world-wide and these agencies have concluded that phthalates used in commercial products do not pose a risk to human health at typical exposure levels. Information collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention over the last 10 years indicates that, despite the fact that phthalates are used in many products, exposure is extremely low—significantly lower than any levels of concern set by regulatory agencies. This information has been supplied by a producer of the PVC fabrics Ollyskins use in their garments - for further information, please contact the sales department on

What is the melting point of Polyurethane?

Polyurethane does not have a melting point because it is a thermosetting polymer, so when it is made, it becomes irreversibly hard. When exposed to extreme heat, polyurethane ignites and burns. Source:

What is the melting point of PVC?

PVC starts to decompose when the temperature reaches 140 °C, with melting temperature starting around 160 °C. The linear expansion coefficient of rigid PVC is small and has good flame retardancy, the Limiting oxygen index (LOI) being up to 45 or more. Source:
